The first annual "Hands on Holladay" clean up will take place on Saturday April 26 form 9am - Noon. Meet at City Hall to get your assignments.
HANDS ON HOLLADAY CLEAN-UP
April 26
The City of Holladay is planning its first annual “Hands on Holladay” road side clean up of our community. We are anticipating the involvement of every able Holladay citizen in this endeavor.
Our goal for this half day event is to provide the opportunity for families, service organizations, students, businesses and other groups to make a difference by spending a few hours sprucing up the main roads in the City of Holladay. Our plan, through the efforts of generous volunteer participation, is to clean up dirty streets, waterways and public spaces by removing litter, cleaning up green spaces and more. Participants are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes, work clothes, work gloves and to bring shovels, rakes and push brooms.
The clean up will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2008. Groups will meet behind City Hall and then be organized into work crews and given specific street assignments. At 12:00 p.m. they will return to City Hall for lunch and entertainment provided by the DC Riders an electric blues band.
