Holladay contracts with the Unified Fire Authority. This contract saves the city the cost of purchasing expensive fire engines and, perhaps more importantly, gives Holladay access to UFA's professional and experienced fire department employees. The fire department not only fights fires, but has a strong fire prevention program, a hazardous materials team, and other services too expensive for a small city to fund.
