Court Personnel

 Daniel Bay Gibbons has served as the Judge of the Holladay Justice Court since July 1, 2001. He is a  ***** laude graduate of the University of Utah and of the Willamette University College of Law, where he was an editor of the Willamette Law Review. He is admitted to practice before the Utah Supreme Court, the U.S. Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court. Prior to his appointment to the bench he practiced law for fifteen years in Salt Lake City, first as a partner in the Salt Lake law firm of Kirton & McConkie and later in his own firm in Holladay. Active in community and civic affairs, he co-hosted a weekly radio show, “Saturday’s Lawyer,” for a period of five years on KALL and KCNR radio.

He is a founder and former coach of the Oakwood Elementary School Chess Club, which is one of the largest chess clubs in Utah. He is a former member of the Holladay-Cottonwood Community Council and one of the original elected members of the Holladay City Council. Fluent in German, Judge Gibbons has also studied Russian, Greek and Hebrew. He is a former volunteer with the Tolstoy Foundation’s Utah Refugee Resettlement Agency, in which capacity he and his family sponsored six Russian emigres from the former Soviet Union.

KayLynn Olsen & Darla Wunderlich  are currently working as Clerks of the Court.
