SUMMARY OF THE CITY OF HOLLADAY
CITY COUNCIL
April 23, 2009

Public Hearing on Amendment to the City of Holladay General Plan – Appendix F - City Center Master Plan (City Hall Park & Fire Station)
There were a number of citizens who came out to the public hearing.  Those who spoke were generally supportive of the master plan and the need for more recreation, open space.  There were a number of comments on the Community Garden and the need to keep that option in the area.

Consideration of Resolution 09-10 Authorizing the Mayor to Execute an Agreement with Salt Lake County for the 2009 Elections
The Council voted unanimously to adopt this Resolution.

Consideration of Resolution 09-11 Authorizing the Delivery of a Letter to Cottonwood Heights Council Opposing the Proposal to Increase the Height of the Old Mill IV Office Building
The Council voted unanimously to adopt this Resolution with changes to the letter to include language on:  fundamental fairness issue, set precedence for other12 stories buildings, add IHC office building, developer stated that a six-story building could work and be profitable.

Consideration of Resolution 09-12 Regarding Condemnation of Property Located at 2210 E 3900 S (3910 S Feramorz Dr) Owned by the Athena Serroukas Angelos Trust
The Council voted unanimously to adopt this Resolution

Consideration of Resolution 09-13 Regarding Condemnation of Property Located at 1990 E 3900 S Owned by Tony Vina, Sherry Vina, Anthony Vina and Rhett Vina
The Council voted 5-1 to adopt this Resolution but to defer any action for as long as possible for continued dialogue.  Council Member Orton opposed.

Consideration of Resolution 09-14 Authorizing the City Manager to Approve the Holladay Village Project Action Memorandum
The Council voted unanimously to adopt this Resolution.

City Manager Report · 

*   Construction has begun in the Village.  City is meeting weekly with Harper Construction
*  Spring Clean up is this Saturday
*  Making progress with the Unified Police District (UPD).  At the meeting this morning the County discussed absorbing some of the start-up costs
*  Met with the County on rebuilding the fire station and they are supportive.  The City is working with Pat Jordan, Lobbyist, on getting funding.  Also we are working with the UFA to get on their bidding process for fire stations.
