The City Council will be holding a work meeting on January 15 at 5pm. The agenda is now available.
NOTICE OF A WORK MEETING OF THE
CITY OF HOLLADAY CITY COUNCIL
THURSDAY, JANUARY 15, 2009
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Holladay City Council will hold a work meeting on Thursday, January 15 at 5:00pm. (The Council will be eating dinner during the discussion beginning at 5pm) The meeting will be held in the Mt. Olympus Room at Holladay City Hall – 4580 S 2300 E. NO decisions will be made at this meeting.
The agenda shall be as follows:
1. Call to Order
2. Land Use Amendments – (20 mins)
Follow up discussion with city planning staff regarding proposed amendments to the city’s zoning code:
a. Tree Ordinance – regulating the removal and replacement of trees on public property, along streets and adjacent to canals
b. Buildable Corridor Ordinance – proposed modifications of the city’s existing ordinance defining the buildable corridor on residential properties
3. Council Goals & Priorities (5min)
Review outline of goals and priorities from the Council Planning meeting on Jan. 10
4. Fire Station Agreement (10 mins)
Report on the status of the Interlocal agreement with Salt Lake County regarding the existing fire station
5. Capital Projects – City Hall & Park (15 mins)
The Council will discuss the status of the preliminary plans being prepared by James Glascock & Assoc. for city hall, the park and fire station properties.
a. Set date for report from Mr. Glascock
b. Schedule open house and public hearings
6. Budget Amendments (5 mins)
Set date for public hearing on budget amendments
7. Communication with Public (60 mins)
Council will discuss methods to improve the city’s communication with citizens and the public
8. Community Events (30 mins)
Continued discussion regarding ideas for a city sponsored community wide summer event
9. Holladay Village Center (15 mins)
Update on the status of development plans and negotiations in the Village Center
10. Economic Development (60 mins)
Discussion on methods to promote and increase economic development within the city’s commercial areas
11. Other Business
12. Closed Session pursuant to Utah Code Section 52-4-204 & 205 to Discuss Personnel Issues, Potential Litigation and Property Acquisition and Disposition –(If needed)
13. Adjourn
On Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 3:30pm a copy of the foregoing notice was posted in conspicuous view in the front foyer of the City of Holladay City Hall, Holladay UT. A copy of this notice was faxed to the Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret News, newspapers of general circulation in the City by the Office of the City Recorder. A copy was also faxed or emailed to the Salt Lake County Council, Cottonwood Heights City and Murray City pursuant to Section 10-9-103.5 of the Utah Code. The agenda was also posted at city hall and on the city internet website at www.cityofholladay.com
