The City Council will hold a public hearing on January 19 for the purpose of conveying real property by the City to the Redevelopment Agency of the CIty of Holladay.
PUBLIC NOTICE OF PROPOSED CONVEYANCE OF SIGNIFICANT REAL PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF HOLLADAY TO THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF HOLLADAY
Pursuant to Section 10-8-2(4), Utah Code Annotated 1953 and Section 2-7-9 Code of City Ordinances as amended, fourteen (14) days public notice is hereby given, and pursuant to Section 17B-4-103(1)(b), Utah Code Annotated 1953, as amended, fifteen (15) days public notice is hereby given, that the City of Holladay proposes and intends to convey to the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Holladay the real property owned by the City of Holladay located at 4668-4680 South Holladay Boulevard (formerly known as the Video Vern’s property). The conveyance of this real property to the Redevelopment Agency is for the purpose of assisting and cooperating with the redevelopment of the Village Center Redevelopment Project Area. It is expected that the conveyance will take place on or after January 19, 2006, and that in exchange for the real property the Redevelopment Agency will enter into a promissory note in favor of the City in the amount of $1,600,000 plus interest at 5% per annum, to be paid by the Redevelopment Agency to the City if and when, and to the extent the Redevelopment Agency receives proceeds from the sale or disposition of the real property, or if and when, and to the extent the Redevelopment Agency otherwise has sufficient funds for making payment to the City. Opportunity for public comment on this matter will be provided at the City of Holladay City Council Meeting on Thursday, January 19, 2006. The City Council Meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:15 p.m. and will be held in the City Council Chambers, 4707 South Holladay Boulevard, Holladay, Utah.
