All items may be discussed but no votes or actions are taken during this portion of the meeting.
7:00 PM CONVENE REGULAR MEETING
2. PUBLIC HEARINGS (Published in the newspaper as required by law)
7:10 PM 2.1 Political Signs- Amending Section 13.82.210, Signs Allowed- – Planner, Pat Hanson – (Public hearing, Discussion and Possible Recommendation) The planning Commission will take comments on a text amendment which would remove the time limits for display of political signs and correct certain typographical errors in the sign table. A recommendation to the City Council may be made at this meeting.
3. PUBLIC HEARINGS (Notices mailed to neighboring property owners as required by law)
7:30 PM 3.1 Locust Grove Subdivision Amendment – 4601 Belmour - Proposed Amendment to
add approx. .2 acre of property to a portion of Lot #4 – R-1-10 Zone - Planner- Rick
Whiting – This will be a Public Hearing with a discussion and a possible decision to amend,(expand the boundary of the subdivision) instead of vacate (remove)a portion of the subdivision as previously approved by the Commission on 9/7/10. That decision was subsequently appealed to the City Council but is expected to be rescinded if this request is approved.
7:50 PM 3.2 Café Madrid – 5244 S Highland Dr - Conceptual Site Plan Review and Conditional
Use Permit – (Permitted Use – Restaurant with Liquor) – NC Zone – Planner: Rick Whiting
This will be a Public Hearing with a discussion and a possible approval of a conceptual design and layout of a new restaurant on Highland Drive and Spring Lane. A Conditional Use Permit to enable service of liquor to restaurant patrons will be addressed at a subsequent meeting.
