Neighborhood Meeting for all residents of the Highland/Van Winkle Annexation Area. Wednesday, October 12 at 6:30pm at the Cottonwood Country Club.
NOTICE - IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THE FUTURE OF YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD, PLEASE ATTEND THE MEETING FOR ALL RESIDENTS OF THE HIGHLAND/VANWINKLE ANNEXATION AREA (AREA BOUNDED BY HIGHLAND DR., VANWINKLE EXPRESSWAY AND MURRAY-HOLLADAY ROAD.
• You can make a difference if you are willing to anticipate future needs in the area.
• Help plan the future of your neighborhood area.
• Planning and zoning are being reviewed in your area.
• The findings will be used in the up-dating of the City of Holladay General Plan.
• Other land use regulations will be implemented from input at these meetings.
• If you’re not there you are leaving decisions up to other people.
WHEN and Where:
• The discussion meeting will be held on WEDNESDAY, October 12, 2005, at 6:30 pm at the Cottonwood Country Club, 1780 E Lakewood Drive. (See map)
• The Public Hearing before the Planning Commission will be held at 6:30 pm on TUESDAY, November 15, 2005 at City Hall, 4707 S. Holladay Boulevard.
THE AGENDA:
• Land use based on community values and quality of life.
• Traffic and safety.
• Public services.
• Property maintenance.
• Standards for residential, non-residential, commercial, in-fill development, or redevelopment.
Final decisions on this matter will be made by the City Council. Meetings have yet to be scheduled for this part of the process so check our web site, cityofholladay.com, the Cottonwood/Holladay Journal and/or the bulletin board at City Hall for announcements of time and place for these meetings. You may call the City Planning staff at 272-9450, for additional information.
The citizens’ goals and objectives discussed at the meeting will be compiled by staff and presented at the November public hearing along with recommendations.
